Half-Wakened Wife
This cover is reminiscent of advertising for the blockbuster Howard Hughes' film, the Outlaw (mixed with the colors of the German flag). I have a number of similar covers done by the same artist. I mean, "half a what?" is really the question here. And notice the jarring kangaroo Pocket logo on this and other covers — he's leering down at the model. And what's with the reassuring words for new readers that Perry will solve the case. Was there a doubt? Duh!
